Garlic Butter Skillet Flatbread

Ingredients

  • 2½ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 3 tablespoons yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup warm water if needed

Garlic Butter

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • Chopped coriander or parsley

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast in a bowl.
  2. Add yogurt, melted butter, and warm milk.
  3. Knead into a soft dough for 8 minutes.
  4. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
  5. Divide into small balls and rest 10 minutes.
  6. Roll each into flat circles.
  7. Cook on a hot skillet until puffed and golden on both sides.
  8. Mix garlic with melted butter and brush over hot flatbreads.

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Warm water as needed

Filling

  • 1 cup mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • Chili flakes optional

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Add yogurt and oil. Make a soft dough with water.
  3. Rest dough for 30 minutes.
  4. Divide into balls.
  5. Flatten each ball and place cheese in center.
  6. Seal edges and roll gently again.
  7. Cook on skillet until crispy golden spots appear and cheese melts inside.

No Yeast Quick Flatbread

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients.
  2. Add yogurt and oil.
  3. Add warm water slowly and make soft dough.
  4. Rest for 20 minutes.
  5. Divide and roll flat.
  6. Cook on hot skillet 2 minutes each side.
  7. Brush with butter for softness.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons yeast

  2. Add warm milk and butter.

  • Warm water as needed

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, mashed potato, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add oil and warm water to form dough.
  3. Knead until smooth.
  4. Let rise 1 hour.
  5. Roll flat and cook on skillet.
  6. Brush with butter while hot.

The mashed potato keeps the flatbread extra soft even the next day.
